Location: This position is a “Hybrid” position in office on Monday & Tuesday's

Overview:

Black Hawk has an Incentive business that covers Reward and recognition platforms for both customers and employees to connect people and motivate them to achieve their goals. An exciting part of the enterprise is managed services which deliver custom-built, fully integrated solutions for the Telco, Banking, Automotive, Retail and Leisure sectors within the UK 

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Gather and document requirements for solution delivery across multiple platforms and technologies (Java Liferay or .Net, Mobile Apps and back-end systems (API/SOA/Middleware) 
  • Support roadmap and backlog creation, considering customer input, product strategy and internal operational requirements.  
  • Garner estimates all assigned workfor client approval  
  • Outline high-level solution design to lead developers and QA analysts   
  • Build and accurately document requirements for new developments and versions for software delivery, and functional requirements for agile and/or waterfall software development.  
  • Enable strong stakeholder management to agree and document detailed design and acceptance criteria for functional and non-functional requirements and project deliverables.  
  • Management and prioritising of change tickets in coordination with key stakeholders 
  • Project governance of release cycles and client project deliveries  
  • Provide support and perform testing of new functionality 
  • Provide overnight support for deployments and other Out-of-Hours activities 
  • Provide System monitoring and second-line support (issue investigation and resolution) 
  • Perform System configuration changes 
  • Operate with teams within different time zones  

Qualifications:

Looking for a Business Systems Analyst with proven experience in a software delivery organisation, be a strategic thinker with a curious, inquisitive nature and an analytical mind. Thoroughly good listening and influencing skills coupled with collaboration will ensure they define and drive the software delivery life cycle to a high standard 

 
Essential Skills 

  • Excellent communicator with strong oral, written and presentation skills combined with the ability to guide group discussions and explain complex solutions.  
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements and working with the team to produce high-level technical solutions 
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting experience  
  • Strong Stakeholder Management experience 
  • Good interpersonal skills with high self-motivation  
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.  
  • Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.  
  • Ability to work both in a team and individually. 
  • Experience within Agile and/or Waterfall Software Development environments as a Business/Functional Analyst including associated tooling (Jira, Confluence, Rally)  
  • SQL knowledge 

Desirable Skills 

  • Technical experience working with back-end platforms and associated system architectures, including the ability to identify interaction and dependencies with other systems.  
  • Complex System design principles  
  • Native mobile application experience 
  • Experience working with a remote team within different time zones  
  • Current or previous software development experience (any language)  
  • Experience in the migration and transition of software platforms and systems
